The second session of ‘The Global Classroom’ in partnership with WHO and Scarisbrick Hall School takes place this week.
This session is supported by UNICEF, The Smithsonian Science EducaFon Center, BMG, National Geographic, and The Independent Schools Association.
It will take place at 4.30pm this Friday (June 5).
Described as “an historic global education initiative to unite the minds and hearts of children around the world,” this second event will mark UN World Environment Day.
It aims to reach children across 193 countries and engage with 150,000 children in a live, real-time interactive event.
After the highly successful and historic launch event last month, The Global Classrooms presents the second of seven global broadcasts to support children around the world.
Jeff Shaw, Headmaster of Scarisbrick Hall School and co-founder of The Global Classroom hosted the historic first event and is looking forward to leading the second broadcast tomorrow with his co-host Lord Michael Hastings of Scarisbrick.
Pupils at the school will take part in the event as well as thousands of others from around the globe.
Guests will include Jason Mraz, a two-time Grammy Award winning singer / songwriter most famously known by his hits ‘I’m Yours’ and ‘I Won’t Give Up’, and Dr Maria Van Kerhove,
WHO Infectious Disease Epidemiologist and Covid-19 Technical Lead.
